Strategy

The Thrivent Fixed Account is part of the General Account and provides guaranteed safety of principal and an interest rate guaranteed never to be less than a stated minimum rate. Payments into the Fixed Account are guaranteed the current interest rate for one year. Additional payments may receive different rates, each guaranteed for one year. Fixed Investment Option Features


Minimum rate of return:

Guaranteed minimum interest rate is good for:
Once a contract is issued, the guaranteed rate will not change on that contract.
Interest rate as of January 1st of Current Year:
1.50%
How often the rate can change:
every 12 months; new money rates declared monthly
Market Value Adjustment:
You may allocate the premiums paid under the contract and transfers from the accumulated value in other investment options to the Fixed Period Allocations. Fixed Period Allocations are invested in a non-unitized separate investment account of ours, the Market Value Adjustment Account ("MVA Account"). Each suchallocation or transfer must be at least $1,000 and will be a separate Fixed Period Allocation. For each amount allocated or transferred to a Fixed Period Allocation, you select an allocation period then offered by us. We may not offer any Fixed Period Allocations during some periods of time. The interest rate that applies to a Fixed Period Allocation depends upon the date of theallocation and the duration selected.
Restrictions that apply to this fixed account:
The amount transferred from the Fixed Account in any contract year may not exceed the greater of $500 and 25% of the accumulated value in the Fixed Account at the time the first transfer is made in that contract year. The amount transferred to a Fixed Period Allocation cannot be less than $1,000.
